Thank you for your interest in the Vampire Lift (Ageless Lift) and Vampire Facial (Ageless Facial)for skin rejuvenation. The protocol for this procedure was designed by myself and begins with microdermabrasion to remove the water-proof skin layer, followed by dermal needling to make the skin more porous to allow the remarkable rejuvenation potential of one’s own protein growth factors, known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to work effectively.
Who is a candidate for the Vampire Facelift? Any patient with mild, moderate or severe volume loss, wrinkles, diminished skin texture, laxity and skin tone.
Volume enhancement is performed by using dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid (HLA) fillers, such as Restylane Lyft and Juvederm. A permanent filler can be used known as Bellafill. Dr. Troell is in the top 1% of physicians injecting both Restylane fillers and Bellafill in the US.
Alternatively, Facial Fat Transfer can substitute dermal fillers for permanent volume replacement. Facial fat grafting is performed by taking your own fat and placing it in areas of volume loss. New developments in fat harvesting, fat processing and fat transfer have yielded fat survival rates of 80%.
The rejuvenation procedure begins with a crystal free microdermabrasion and often a hydrating Facial. Topical anesthesia is then applied for 30 minutes. Dermal needling is performed using the MicroPen, the fastest and least uncomfortable device to create minute skin pores that remain open for about 15 minutes. These pores allow for enhanced absorption of platelet rich plasma (PRP) that is administered either topically or through intradermal injections.
The rejuvenation occurs with the use of platelet rich plasma that has over thirty protein growth factors. The outcome is a thicker dermal skin layer, improved skin blood supply, more and younger collagen and elastin fibers to improve the skin’s appearance and elasticity. The procedure begins with 2 teaspoons of blood taken, centrifuged to separate the platelets and the 30 growth factors and culminated with topical or injection administration to your skin. The entire procedure takes about one hour and up to two hours if a hydrating is added.
The procedure usually only requires topical anesthetic solutions application for 30 minutes, however, some request additional anesthesia using sensory nerve blocks. All of these techniques are designed to minimize discomfort and limit the potential for bruising.
